Storm Goretti has already reached Ibiza. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated a yellow alert on the island due to strong winds and coastal conditions. The warning will remain in force until 8 p.m. During the episode, wind gusts of up to 70 kilometres per hour are expected, while skies are forecast to remain mostly clear.
Strong winds began to blow from midnight on Thursday. At sea, westerly winds may generate waves of up to three metres, according to meteorologists.
Temperatures will range between 10°C and 16°C, with clear skies expected to continue into Saturday, when minimum temperatures will drop to 9°C and maximums will reach 15°C.
Over the weekend, the alert will be lifted, although temperatures are expected to remain between 8°C and 15°C.
