Ibiza airport returns to passenger traffic growth in November

The Ibiza airport recorded last November 260,069 passengers, which represents an increase of 3.5% compared to the same month last year, according to the activity data for last month provided Friday by AENA (Spanish Airports and Air Navigation).

The statistics indicate that of the 259,949 commercial travelers, 220,453 traveled on domestic routes, 1.8% more than in November 2024, while 39,496 traveled on international flights, which means 14.8% more. This difference is normal during the months of lower airport activity, between November and March, but changes completely from April to October due to the effect of the tourist season and the massive arrival of planes from international destinations.

Among the international markets with the highest volume of passengers, AENA details, the following stand out United Kingdom, with 12,284 travelers; Netherlands, with 12,101 and Germany, with 7.309.

In terms of operations (landings and take-offs are counted), 3,069 flightswere handled in November , representing a increase of 2.1% over the same month last year.

Accumulated since January

In the year to date, the Ibizan airport has counted 8,902,282 passengers, 0.8% more than in the same period of 2024. The number of aircraft operations with one month left in the year stands at 82,308, up 2.5%.

Bearing in mind that last year the terminal closed with a total of 9,073,223 users, and that in December of last year the number of users was 9,073,223.223 users, and that in December 240,379 were registered, it is very likely that this year the number of passengers in Ibiza’s air traffic will be well over nine million.
