Hotel rooms in Ibiza, the most expensive in Spain

For the first time, Ibiza has surpassed €200 in revenue per available hotel room (€207.5), according to the latest data from the Exceltur report. The document also notes that average room rates have reached €240, and that the Balearic Islands as a whole closed the summer season with a 9.7% increase in revenue.

In the case of Ibiza, it is the island where this growth was the smallest — 7.5% — compared to 9.2% in Mallorca, while Menorca leads the increase with 11.5%, according to the report. The same document also strongly criticises Ibiza Airport and the image it conveys to tourists. It recalls that Ibiza Airport ranks second to last in the AirHelp Score 2024 among the 14 Spanish airports evaluated, and is among the ten European airports that have received the most complaints over the past four years.
