Ibiza airport will launch an express parking lot from this Wednesday, January 18th, that provides the first ten minutes free of charge, according to Aena. The parking lot, located in front of the facade of the terminal building, is equipped with 36 spaces two of them reserved for people with reduced mobility (PRM).

The objective of this new facility is to enable vehicles to stop to pick up or drop off passengers quickly and thus improve the circulation of the roads that serve this area and streamline the parking lot’s operations, which will allow more users to make use of these spaces. For longer stays, Aena recommends using the general parking.

The new express parking lot has two entry and two exit gates that will open without the need to go through the cashier, as long as the first ten-minute free stay has not been exceeded. The incorporation of this new express parking service brings Ibiza airport in-line with the services already enjoyed by many users of other airports such as Palma airport.

Parking payment system through app at Ibiza airport

Another new feature is that from now on, it will be possible to use the mobile payment method through Aena’s mobile application. This system facilitates the user’s stay, as it avoids the need to going to the payment station and speeds up the payment process, as it is only necessary for users to download the app and follow a few simple steps: enter the vehicle license plate number and the bank card to which the amount is to be charged. These data will be saved for future occasions.

If users do not want to complete the payment online with the use of the cell phone, they will still have the option of paying the corresponding amount at the payment station in parking lot itself.
