Ibiza is one of the places in Spain that stands out for its small coves, bays and corners suitable for the practice of water sports such as snorkeling. The punta Galera coves are located at the foot of a cliff of steep geology located in the municipality of Sant Antoni, in the vicinity of Cala Salada. The crystalline waters of the area and the rocky bottom are ideal for snorkeling, being cautious when walking on the seabed generally formed by stones.

Es Canaret

This cove is located in the north of the island, near Cala Xarraca, in the municipality of Sant Joan. The nook is one of the best to dive for its turquoise sea and observe the species of the area. In addition, the place has several fishermen’s houses typical of Ibiza.

The waters of es Portitxol, whose depths are full of rocks, hide a very rich marine biodiversity just a few meters from the coast.

Porroig

This cove of Sant Josep is another of the special sites of the island for amateur free diving. The seabed is also rocky and has several dry docks very typical of the Balearic coves. The paths belonging to the small bay and adjacent to the cove are a beautiful part of the island to explore.

Pla Mill

This corner is located in the platja d’en Bossa area. Paulo Peixoto, nautical instructor of a diving center in Ibiza, recommends this enclave for snorkeling. “You can find many marine species typical of Ibiza at very shallow depths”, he explains, “you can also observe the posidonia meadow”.
