Agents of the National Police have arrested the client of a hotel on the outskirts of the city of Ibiza who had locked a hotel worker in her room, to whom he offered sex in exchange for money, the police said in a statement on Saturday. The man has been arrested for a crime of illegal detention and another of attempted sexual assault.

The events occurred on Saturday, July 29. The man, of Hungarian nationality and 44 years old, requested the presence of the woman in his room and kept her restrained, as reported to the police by the 091 room, the note details.

“At the time the woman appeared in the room, he took the opportunity to lock her in in the room”. The man offered her money in exchange for sex and refused to let the worker out, who took advantage of an oversight to leave the room.

Witnesses corroborated the facts upon the arrival of the agents of the Public Safety brigade. The policemen detained the individual, “who was still staying in the hotel upon the arrival of the police squad”, the statement concludes.
