Christmas with giant games for kids and 3 nativity scenes in Sant Joan

The municipality has several activities for both children and adults in its Christmas program, such as a party attended by Santa Claus.

Three nativity scenes to visit, giant games for children and a Christmas market are just some of the activities that the municipality of Sant Joan offers this Christmas. Children and adults can enjoy a host of activities to farewell the year and start 2023.

The little ones will be able to attend tomorrow to a children’s party organized by Apima of the school of Sant Joan in collaboration with the City Council. From 4pm, the municipality’s Plaza de España will host giant games with Jugueroix, workshops, face painting, crafts, music and also a special visit from Santa Claus.

On Saturday, the Teatro Parroquial de sa Cala will be the stage for a play by the Amateur Theater Pedro Cañestro season, which will take place at 8:30pm, with ‘Èpoques’, a traditional piece by the company of the neighborhood association es Molí

Christmas Market

The real highlight of this Christmas program is the Christmas Market, which will be held on Sunday, December 18th from 11am to 4pm in the Plaza de Sant Miquel, organized by the local school Apima. In addition, the little ones will also be the protagonists of the day with children’s games.

On Friday, December 23rd, several activities are organized in the Plaza de Sant Miquel, such as giant games with Sueños de Ibiza at 4:30pm and Christmas storytelling with Anakrónica. In addition, music also has it’s special place with the Christmas Concert by Thiassos Ensemble in the Plenary Hall of the Town Hall.

On Friday, December 30th, the kids will again take center stage in a day full of games. At 4pm they can enjoy Jugueroix in the Parish Theater of Sant Vicent. In addition, at 7pm there will also be a Christmas theater: ‘Caty y la Navidad’, in the Parish Theater

Día de Reyes (Three Kings Day)

Día de Reyes is one of the most special dates of the year. Therefore, Sant Joan has many surprises prepared for children. On January 5th the parade takes place at 6pm in Sant Miquel. At the end, there will be chocolate for everyone. On January 6th there will be two concerts by the parish choir of Sant Joan: one at 5pm in Sant Joan and another at 6pm in Sant Llorenç.

Also on January 6th, at 12 noon, after mass, the Parish Choir of Sant Joan offers a concert to benefit Caritas in the church of Sant Joan. Attendees can collaborate with donations

On the other hand, throughout Christmas the Church of Sant Joan hosts a Nativity scene made by two of the village’s neighbors: Joan den Botigues and Jaume de ses Fontanelles, with the collaboration of the Parish workers. It can be visited on Sundays from 11am to 1pm

In the Church des Puig de Missa de San Miquel another Nativity Scene can also be visited every day from 10am to 6pm. In the Church of Sant Llorenç another can be seen from December 18th during mass hours
