Aemet warns of the arrival of another atmospheric phenomenon affecting Ibiza

The Agencia Estatal de Meteorología ( Aemet ) has reported the arrival of a atlantic front that will leave rains and storms in Ibiza y Formentera from Tuesday. The DANA , which has marked a significant meteorological change in the Peninsula in recent days, with notable thermal decreases and generalized instability, leaves Spain along this Sunday by the northeast. However, this Atlantic front will arrive on Monday causing the instability to last at least until Wednesday in the country.

This sunday are likely to occur heavy rains with hail in Catalonia. Late in the day, the entry of this Atlantic front will reactivate the showers and storms around the central and western system of Castilla y León.

From Monday to Wednesday, uncertainty regarding precipitation increases, although it is expected that the showers and thunderstorms will continue in large parts of the Peninsula y Balearic Islands.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the greater instability will be restricted to the eastern third of the peninsula and the Balearic Islandswhere locally heavy rains and storms will continue. In the Pitiusas, on Tuesday there is a 90% probability of rain, but the Aemet has not activated any alert so far.

Temperatures from Tuesday onwards will drop in the Pitiusas with minimum and maximum temperatures of 17 and 25 degrees, respectively.
