According to Repsol, the aim of the Solete is to recognise those hotel and restaurant establishments that residents would recommend to a friend or acquaintance. This new certificate includes establishments such as beach bars, terraces with views, ice cream parlours, cafes, bars, taverns, fast food establishments and “charming” restaurants.
One thousand Spanish businesses have obtained the Solete, 39 in the Balearic Islands, almost half of them in the Pitiusas, 11 in Ibiza and 6 in Formentera.
Thus, in Ibiza, recognition has been given to Viejo Gallo (Sant Josep), Mar a Vila (Vila), La Oliva (Vila), Sa Calma (Vila), Sa Xacota (Sant Josep), Vinyl Burguer (Sant Jordi), Eat’s life (Vila), Vino & Co (Sant Josep), San Juan (Vila), Croissant Show (Vila), and Can Costa (Santa Gertrudis) and in Formentera La Trastienda, Ceferino, Can Forn, Blac Picat, Molo Café and Centro.
These new 1,000 Soletes are in addition to those presented in June 2021, a four-monthly edition that, according to Repsol, allows us to have a constantly changing list, which adapts to the season to offer the best proposals and to continue to value the most emblematic places in our neighborhoods and towns.
“The Soletes are the answer to the needs of travellers who now in the autumn-winter season are looking for places to have good warm dishes, a coffee or a chocolate with churros or any other special dish from those places well known by the locals but that often do not appear in the guides and that we want to recognize and share with our readers,” concludes the director of the Repsol Guide, Maria Rotter.
