Queen Letizia gives the Spanish touch in Los Angeles with her perfect red suit

Queen Letizia resorts to one of her most versatile and flattering tailored suits to meet with experts with whom she discussed the importance of Spanish and its cultures in the US.

Queen Letizia, who after a very special weekend with her family due to the return of Princess Leonor to Spain on December 9th to spend Christmas in Spain, has headed to Los Angeles to preside over the inauguration of a new headquarters of the Cervantes Institute in the U.S. city.

The event will take place this Tuesday at 10:00am local time – that is, around 5pm Spanish time – and has been preceded by a meeting with experts to discuss the importance and potential of Spanish and its cultures in the United States, which has 60 million speakers of the language, the second most spoken in the country.

Accompanied by the director of the Cervantes Institute, the poet Luis García Montero and the directors of the headquarters in Chicago, New York, Boston and Albuquerque, as well as other personalities such as the film producer Ignacio Darnuade, Doña Letizia presided over a working meeting to analyze the situation of the Spanish language in the country and, especially, in Los Angeles, a movie mecca par excellence and where the Hispanic presence is especially significant

Queen Letizia in the ‘Spanish’ Color

An appointment of clear professional cut in which Queen Letizia chose the quintessential ‘Spanish’ color, passion red, reusing one of her most versatile and flattering tailored suits. A Roberto Torreta design that she premiered in early 2018 and that has become one of her favorites, since she has worn it up to 7 occasions demonstrating its versatility

Perfect for any occasion, this two-piece with flared pants and an open at the bottom jacket with a  ‘trick’ – as it simulates wearing a matching blouse under the fitted jacket with double lapel – has been chosen by the monarch for events as significant as the tenth anniversary of the Princess of Girona Foundation, the tribute to Clara Campoamor in the Congress of Deputies, a meeting for the Board of Trustees of Students or her meeting with Queen Mathilde of Belgium in Brussels

Opting for all red with a complete look as vibrant as it is flattering Queen Letizia has combined her ‘favorite’ outfit with a double-faced wool coat and cross lapel collar by Carolina Herrera, python leather handbag by the same firm and suede pumps by Magrit. A monochromatic 10 out of 10 style with which she has dazzled in her first engagement in Los Angeles
