Ibiza continues to attract a growing list of football stars, and the latest high-profile name to be spotted on the island is Rodri Hernández, captain of the Spanish national football team.
The Manchester City midfielder was photographed at the popular Bresh party at Amnesia Ibiza, with images shared by the event’s official Instagram account showing Rodri enjoying the night with friends and even taking to the dance floor.
Usually known for keeping a low profile away from football, Rodri appeared relaxed and slightly reserved as he danced during the Ibiza party. The Bresh event has become something of a magnet for members of the Spanish national team, with Ferran Torres, Marcos Llorente and Marc Pubill also among the footballers who have attended.
Rodri prefers privacy despite his global fame
The Madrid-born midfielder has repeatedly made it clear that he prefers to stay away from social media and protect his private life. Unlike many of today’s football superstars, Rodri has shown little interest in becoming a celebrity away from the pitch.
His performances on the field, however, have made him one of the most prominent footballers in the world.
Rodri’s international and club career reached another level when he won the 2024 Ballon d’Or, becoming the first Manchester City player to receive football’s most prestigious individual award. He was also named best player of the 2026 World Cup, held in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
His achievements have cemented his status as one of the leading midfielders of his generation, despite his preference for keeping his personal life out of the spotlight.
Rodri’s future: FC Barcelona transfer talks
Rodri’s future at club level is also attracting significant attention. The midfielder is currently in talks over a possible move to FC Barcelona after spending seven seasons at Manchester City.
However, his potential transfer to the Catalan club remains uncertain. Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca has already indicated that he is counting on the midfielder for the upcoming season, leaving questions over whether Rodri will eventually join Hansi Flick’s Barcelona squad.
For now, though, the Spain captain appears to be enjoying his summer in Ibiza. His appearance at Amnesia’s Bresh party adds his name to an increasingly long list of elite footballers choosing the island as a destination for their summer nights out.
