When does the next episode of extreme heat arrive in Ibiza and Formentera?

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) foresees high temperatures in the islands during the next few days

The extreme heat will affect the islands again during these days, according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet). The forecast is for particularly high temperatures, for which the alert will be activated in the Balearic Islands over the next few days.

The peak of this new episode that will cause the thermometer to rise dramatically will arrive tomorrow, Tuesday at 11 a.m to Ibiza and Formentera with highs of up to 39 degrees and yellow alert. The islands may reach record temperatures across the board, the weather agency warns.

On Wednesday high temperatures will continue throughout the Balearic Islands, in some areas of Mallorca the Aemet has even activated the red alert. In the case of the Pitiusas, at 13 hours the yellow alert will be reactivated and will be maintained until 19:00 hours.

On this occasion, the agency forecasts maximum temperatures of 37 degrees, especially in the south of Ibiza and Formentera.

In these days of extreme heat, citizens are advised to take measures such as not exposing themselves to the sun at peak hours and hydrate continuously.
