The best plans for the weekend on Ibiza and Formentera

The 2nd Sonorama Ibiza arrives with great concerts in Cala de Bou this weekend

The 2nd year of the festival Sonorama Ribera goes to Ibiza in Cala de Bou is creating a buzz this weekend. From Thursday to Saturday there will be big names in music such as Luis Brea, Miss Caffeina, Belako, Delafé y las Flores Azules, Rulo y la Contrabanda, Morgan or Nena Daconte.

For lovers of classical music there are also two dates this weekend. The celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Orquestra Ciutat d’Eivissa on Sunday at Can Ventosa, with an exquisite program under the direction of Fernando Marina, and the second concert of the Festival de Música de Cambra de Santa Eulària, with the recital dedicated to love ‘Sax & Love’, on Saturday at the Centro Cultural de Jesús.

The Temporada de Dansa del Consell also returns, with the contemporary flamenco show ‘Antípodas’, by Florencia Oz, on Saturday at the Cas Serres Auditorium.

And the art festival Tardor d’Art de Formentera, with exhibitions and other activities throughout the weekend in the Jardí de ses Eres de Sant Francesc.

Among many other interesting offerings, two charity events stand out, including the dinner Stars against Cancer, with some great names in Spanish gastronomy, on Saturday at the STK restaurant for the benefit of Aspanob, and the V Diada Solidària de Addif, with music, theater, games, sports, bouncy castles and an arroz de matanzas, on Sunday at the Centro Social de Ca n’Escandell.
