The best weekend plans on Ibiza and Formentera

La Movida de Sant Bartomeu returns this weekend

Among the highlights this weekend is the beginning of the Sant Bartomeu festivities in Sant Antoni. The weekend festive program starts with one of its main attractions, La Movida de Sant Bartomeu, organized by DJs Petit and Vázquez. The 80’s and 90’s themed party will be held this Saturday, August 13th at 9pm on the beach of s’Arenal.

Sant Antoni is not the only town celebrating this weekend, Vila, Cala Llonga and Sant Llorenç are also celebrating their patron saint’s day. In Sant Joan on Saturday August 13th from 9:30pm Morning Drivers and Young Dolores will perfom. To finish off the night there will be a Flower Power Party. On Formentera on Sunday August 14th several weekend events for the Festes de la Mare de Déu d’Agost are scheduled.

The German musician Mo Brandis will be the protagonist of a new day of Festival Badia de Portmany, which will be held this Saturday from 8:30pm in the Auditori Caló de s’Oli de Cala de Bou.

In Sant Agustí the same day there will be an open-air night session of indie short films by Mecal Air Ibiza at 10 pm in es Tancó.

In Ibiza and Sant Antoni, several events have been scheduled across the weekend to celebrate International Youth Day, which is celebrated on August 12th.

FRIDAY AUGUST 12th

Festes de la Terra:

International Youth Day. Sports activities, climbing wall, skating, water games, excursion night kayaking. From 6pm to 10pm, Es Viver sports center.

Fiestas de Cala Llonga:

8pm Flamenco show at the bar restaurant Terramar.

9:15pm Cinema on the beach with the film ‘Mamma Mia!’.

9:30pm Concert by Marc Riera at Gastro Bar S’Aroma.

Bloop Festival:

Bloop Kids Hq. Universikid workshops for children from 6 to 12 years old. Exhibition Hall Sant Jaume 72, in Santa Eulària. Free activity. From Tuesday to Saturday from 4:30pm to 9pm. Until August 24th.

Weekend Cinema:

International Youth Day:

Alejandro Capovilla. ‘Pincelada mediterránea’. Charity art exhibition on August 12th and 13th. Inauguration on the 12th at 8:30pm with a performance by Redes de Vida. On Saturday 13th the exhibition will be on the terrace of the Montesol, on Paseo de Vara de Rey from 10am to 1pm and at 8:30pm on the rooftop of the hotel where Ibossim Flamenco will perform.
