Ibiza Luxury Destination (ILD), the product club of Fomento del Turismo de Ibiza, celebrated its eleventh year in existence last night at the Destino Pacha hotel in the presence of actors, businesspeople, influencers and politicians. At the event, which began at 8.30pm, three new ambassadors for the island this year were named and information was given about the organisation’s 2021 initiatives and recent growth, among other things.

Nuria Moreno, president of Ibiza Luxury Destination, launched the event at 9pm. She thanked all the attendees, more than a hundred people, and explained the work that the organisation has carried out in recent months, such as the presentation of the club’s promotional video at the latest edition of Fitur, among other things. The tourism promotion fair was held at the end of May.

In addition, Moreno reported on growth in the number of ILD members, which is particularly important, she said, considering the difficult times the tourism sector is going through. Following this introduction to the gala, President Moreno named the ambassadors of Ibiza 2021: actor and model José Lamuño, businessman Wayne Lineker and hotelier José Colomar.

This was followed by the presentation of the plaque and gold badge to the ten new members of the club: Bless Hotel, Ibiza Agents, Lío, OD Talamanca, Oku Ibiza, Six Senses, Smart Charter Ibiza and W lbiza, as well as the hotel that hosted the gala, Destino Pacha Ibiza Resort, and Casa Pacha Formentera, Pacha group’s new hotel.
The event at Destino Pacha was attended by authorities, businesspeople, actors, influencers and national journalists. Among the public officials present were Marcos Serra, mayor of Sant Antoni; Carmen Ferrer, mayoress of Santa Eulària; Miguel Tur, Eduardo Sánchez and Dessiré Ruiz, Concejales for Tourism in Sant Antoni, Sant Josep and Vila respectively, and Miguel Tur, Santa Eulària’s Concejal for Economic Promotion. In addition, Alejandro Sancho, president of Fomento del Turismo de Ibiza, was also present, among other well-known personalities and people from the tourism sector and the island’s institutions.
