The most exclusive cruise ship in the world will make a stop on Ibiza

After years of delay, the cruise ship 'Evrima' finally debuts this week

The ‘Evrima‘ is not a regular cruise ship, as it looks more like a large luxury yacht. The long-delayed debut of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, the new cruise arm of the luxury hotel chain Ritz-Carlton, will take place on Saturday, according to the company. Its first ship, the 298-passenger ‘Evrima’, is finally completed and will sail its first route.

The vessel should have begun sailing in 2020, but between various technical and supply problems, the covid pandemic and other difficulties, its launch date has been delayed as many as eight times.

But everything points to the fact that this Saturday, September 15th, its first passengers will enjoy a cruise in the Mediterranean, although they will not yet call at Ibiza. The ‘Evrima’ will arrive at the Pitiusas Islands on March 8th, 2023, on a route that will start in Barcelona, to pass through Ibiza, Mallorca, Saint-Tropez, Portofino, Livorno and Rome.

The price of this trip starts at 6,700 euros per person in the most economical cabin (although luxurious) to up to 15,000 euros.

Cruise ship Evmira is endless luxury

The ‘Evrima’ has 10 decks and 149 cabins with higher ceilings than the average cruise ship, king size beds, and private veranda with sea views. The stateroom categories, from highest to lowest, are as follows: Owner’s Suites, Loft Suites, Grand Suites and Signature Suites. The last two, although not the ‘best’, exceeds the size of other of luxury cruise ships: about 150 square meters not including the terrace.

In the common areas, such as MistralTerrace and Terrace Spa, guests can enjoy complimentary champagne while resting on the sun loungers. The cruise’s main restaurant is the Evrima Room, for which Chef Sven Elverfeld of Aqua at the Ritz-Carlton in Wolfsburg, Germany, has created a five-course tasting menu with wine and champagne pairings. Three other restaurants complete the culinary offerings.
