Despite economic headwinds in the UK, British tourism to the Balearic Islands remains strong for the 2024 season. High inflation and political turmoil have not deterred British travelers, who continue to spend significantly on their visits. In 2023, British tourists represented nearly one in four of the 3.3 million visitors to the islands and outspent Spanish tourists by €305 million. On average, a British tourist spent €1,144 per visit, with a daily expenditure of €206 in Ibiza. This robust spending highlights the importance of British tourists to the Balearic economy, despite a slight decline in visitors from other countries.
