How to book your COVID-19 vaccine online in Ibiza

Step-by-step instructions to request coronavirus vaccination

On Friday 16th April, the Regional Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs made available to citizens the new website created by the Fundación BIT and the Health Service to make an appointment to be vaccinated against COVID-19: https://citavacunacovid.ibsalut.es.

Initially, the site is intended for citizens born between 1956 and 1965, who may choose the vaccination site among the different mass vaccination points.  Two are located on the Pitiusas Islands: Recinto Ferial de Ibiza and Formentera hospital.

The appointment schedule available on the website can only be booked one week in advance. It may be updated to reflect the expected weekly arrival of vaccines. Upon completion of the week’s appointments, the system will inform you. Those who were unable to access the system may wait until the following week or wait to be called from Infovacuna COVID.

Everything you need to know to book an appointment online.

The online appointment system is available to those registered in the Balearic Islands. The required documentation you should have at hand is your DNI, NIE or CIP (patient identification code).

Once on the website, follow the steps indicated by the agenda.

The appointment for the second dose of the coronavirus vaccine will be given at the vaccination centre where the first dose was administered.

If you have problems making your appointment online, call Infovacuna COVID (+34 971 21 19 99) from Monday to Saturday from 5pm to 9pm and Sundays and public holidays from 8am to 9pm for help with the process.

What’s next once you have an appointment?

After making an appointment, the digital appointment reservation system, BITCITA, will send you an instant message (SMS) confirmation on your registered mobile phone.

Check the email registered with BITCITA to verify the reception of the QR code and the individual appointment cancellation link that BITCITA will send you immediately after making an appointment.

Keep the QR code sent by BITCITA. The digital system for booking an appointment to be vaccinated against COVID-19 will send you a personal and non-transferable QR code that you must present on the day of vaccination at the chosen centre.

The digital system will send you a reminder of your appointment with an instant message (SMS) to the given mobile phone 48 hours before your appointment.

What do I do if I cannot keep my appointment?

If you can’t make your appointment, you can digitally cancel it with BITCITA by following these steps:

  • Check your email
  • Find the BITCITA confirmation message
  • Press the link to cancel the appointment

Alternatively, you may cancel your appointment by contacting Infovacuna COVID (+34 971 21 19 99)
