Javier Gutiérrez and Vicky Luengo bring 'Principiantes' to Ibiza

This weekend Can Ventosa hosts one of the most eagerly awaited plays of the season in Ibiza, ‘Principiantes’, with a great cast headed by Javier Gutiérrez and Vicky Luengo, and under the direction of the renowned Andrés Lima, based on a story by Raymond Carver. There will be a double session, on Saturday at 9pm and an hour earlier on Sunday. But this is not the only interesting event to take in on a weekend with all sorts on offer, such as the performance of ‘Sintempo’ by Sara Cano, as part of the Consell’s dance season, and the Camerata Deià Piano Quartet concerts, a two-part benefit concert for Apneef on Friday at the Palacio de Congresos in Santa Eulària and on Saturday at Formentera municipal cinema.

Also worth mentioning is the return of the ‘Anem al cine’ series after a hiatus of a year and a half, this Thursday with a single session at 8.30pm at the Eivissa multiplex and various book launches in Ibiza Town Hall’s  ‘Illes i Literatura’ series.

And as many will be able to extend the weekend until the public holiday on Tuesday, 12th October, that day there is a date not to be missed, the new Soul Food Fest in Sant Josep, which will fuse American roots music with the Creole cuisine of New Orleans.
