Firefighters from the Ibiza Island Park went last night to es Cubells after receiving a call from a fire department of the fire warning in a villa in the area. The fire started around 2.30 am and was located in a room of the house. “Luckily everything was closed and did not spread through the house,” said the firefighters. At the moment it is unknown what could have caused the fire.
The flames affected a 28-year-old Italian manthe cook in the house, who was injured with first- and second-degree burns to the extremities and was transferred in an ambulance 061 to the hospital Can Misses. The man is this Monday under observation in the emergency room with a less serious prognosis.
The rest of the people who were in the house at the time left quickly.
The following went to the scene two firefighting vehicles: a Heavy Urban Fire Engine (BUP) and a fire engine, and six personnel, who quickly extinguished the flames and ventilated the house.
