Young Italian man killed after being removed from nightclub had come to work in Ibiza

The 20-year-old Italian man who died this Monday morning after being urgently evacuated from a nightclub in Sant Antoni, has died after being evacuated from a club in Sant Antoni is not a tourist. As confirmed by the Honorary Vice Consulate of Italy in Ibiza and Formentera, according to what was said by another young man of the same nationality in the same place shortly after the death was confirmed, he came to do the season in the catering sector specifically in a restaurant, although the name has not been disclosed.

It is therefore ruled out that he was a tourist. And the Guardia Civil confirms that the events occurred shortly before six o’clock in the morningwhen the young man began to feel unwell and was taken to the infirmary of the nightclub.

Due to his condition, the staff of the discotheque decided to call the 112 emergency telephone number and transfer him with their own means to the emergency service of the Hospital Can Misses, according to the same source.

Although no hypothesis is discarded (from the Vice Consulate or the Civil Guard itself have declined any information in this regard), the hypothesis of the consumption of narcotic substances is being considered, which in any case will have to determine the forensic examination to which the body is being subjected this Monday morning.

From the Honorary Vice Consulate of Italy in Ibiza and Formentera indicate that the deceased has no family on the island, and that the case has been placed in the hands of the Consulate in Barcelona, from where they have already contacted the Italian police, the Carabinieri.
