The PolicÃa Nacional received the warning that a woman was inside the Burger King armed with a knife and was very aggressive, threatening some of the patrons inside the establishment, several of them minors which is common at the hamburger restaurant in the port of Ibiza.
As Diario de Ibiza has learned from eyewitnesses and police sources close to the investigation, two of those involved in this incident are old acquaintances of the police, a couple that usually wanders through the center of Ibiza often causing altercations.
Apparently, the man had lent a friend an electronic device and when he saw him inside the establishment he approached with his partner to ask him to device to be returned, something he refused to do. It was then when the woman, known for her aggressiveness, decided to take out a knife and violently threaten her partner’s acquaintance.
At least two units from the PolicÃa Nacional went to the scene and when they entered the premises they found that the situation endangered many customers.
Refusing to drop the knife
According to eyewitnesses, the officers repeatedly ordered the woman to throw the knife to the ground, but she ignored the police requests and continued brandishing it in a threatening manner. At this point one officer decided to draw his weapon in an attempt to persuade her release the weapon. She immediately dropped the knife and lay down on the ground.
She has been arrested for making serious threats.
