Week of moderate heat with rain from Friday in Ibiza

The island will experience during the next few days a stable weather with pleasant temperatures, although with rains expected from Friday, according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet). Monday saw the change of season with the arrival of autumn that has brought a drop in temperatures, which will rise again the following week with the beginning of the popular summer of San Miguel, says the Aemet

Until Thursday will prevail little cloudy skies and highs will move between 24 and 25 degrees, while the minimum will be between 16 and 18 degrees, putting an end to the tropical nights. Wednesday is expected to be a sunny day, with light winds from the east and north.

On Friday 26 the first changes are expected: the probability of precipitation increases to 35% in the morning and to 40% in the afternoon, with highs reaching 27 degrees.

On Saturday 27 will be the day with the greatest instability, with a probability of rain of 50% and temperatures that could reach 28 degrees, accompanied by west wind of up to 15 km/h.

On Sunday and Monday, a slight decrease in maximum temperatures is expected, which will be around 26 degrees, with cloudy intervals and a probability of precipitation between 25% and 30%.

The ultraviolet index will remain at moderate to high values, between five and six points, so it is recommended to continue using sunscreen during the central hours of the day

Early this morning minimum temperatures of 14 degrees were recorded in Sant Antoni, Ibiza and Sant Joan. Ibiza airport reached 18 degrees, while in Formentera the minimum was 21 degrees.

As for the highs on Monday, Formentera reached 29 degrees, followed by Ibiza, the airport and Sant Antoni, with 26 degrees. Finally, Sant Joan registered 25 degrees.

Hurricane

Hurricane Gabrielle will reach the Azores on Friday and will approach the Peninsula over the weekend as a squall, something relatively common in autumn. There is still uncertainty, but it could leave bad seas, rain and strong winds in the western peninsular. The Balearic Islands will not be affected.
