Starting today, the Ibiza beaches will host the activities of the ‘Una platja per a tothom’ awareness programme, now in its seventh edition. The aim is to raise awareness among young and old people alike of the need to preserve beaches and their surroundings through the organisation of environmental and sporting activities, as well as workshops on prevention and safety measures.
The seventh edition begins today, Friday, 3rd September in Platja d’en Bossa, from 10am to 2.30pm, with environmental activities, CPR and lifeguarding workshops. From 12noon to 2.30pm there will be a kayak trip to the Posidonia with snorkelling.
The second day will be on Saturday, 4th September at Ses Figueres beach (Talamanca), from 10am to 6.30pm. It will start with an aquagym class from 9am to 10am, followed by the ‘Sea Baptism’ sailing course, from 10am to 2pm. There will also be an environmental activity, CPR and lifeguarding workshops, water polo and a kayak trip to the Posidonia with snorkelling, from 4pm to 6.30pm.
On Saturday, 4th September there will also be an orienteering race on Ses Figueretes beach, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
The third and final day of the programme will be held on Sunday, 5th September on Ses Figueretes beach, from 10am to 6.30pm. It will begin with an aquagym class from 9am to 10am, the ‘Sea Baptism’ sailing course from 10am to 2pm, and ‘Biblioplatja’ activities as well as CPR and lifeguarding workshops. There will also be a football tournament and a kayak trip to the Posidonia with snorkelling, from 4pm to 6.30pm.
