Singer reveals taking “all kinds of drugs” to cope with sexual abuse by celebrity in Ibiza

Singer Cassandra Ventura, a.k.a. Cassie and the leading victim in sex trafficking trial she faces Sean Combs claimed in court Tuesday that he took “all kinds of drugs” to dissociate during encounters with sex workers allegedly orchestrated by the rapper.

“For me it was dissociative and numbing. I couldn’t imagine doing any of that without having some kind of buffer or a way to not feel it for what it really was,” stressed Cassie, who appeared eight-and-a-half months pregnant.

The artist, who was romantically involved with Combs for about 11 years, told the jury on Tuesday that during these encounters – which he called “freak offs” – he took drugs such as ecstasy, MDMA, ketamine, marijuana and mushrooms.

Abuses in Ibiza

These encounters occurred mostly in hotels and took place in different parts of the world, among them Ibizalos Angeles, Miami, New York and the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Cassie today gave more details about these “freak offs,” in which Combs, who allegedly masturbated while watching her have sex, decided everything that happened – from what the performer should wear to where and when the sex workers he hired for thousands of dollars could ejaculate.

Each “freak off” was often divided into several two- or three-hour sessions, after which the couple would lock themselves in a room, sometimes to have sex or get highand would leave after a few hours to have sex again with a third person.

During her testimony, Ventura denied that she ever wanted to willingly participate in these sexual activities and stated that she initially agreed because she was “in love” and feared the reaction of Combs, who was already abusive to her before these activities began.

The singer also claimed that Combs recorded many of these encounters with a video camera or cell phone, which was sometimes Cassie’s: “If the videos were on my cell phonei deleted them because they were humiliating. I didn’t want anyone to see them.”

The judge today ordered that these videos be shown during the trial only before the jury, asserting that showing them to the public and reporters in the courtroom “pose the obvious risk of re-victimization” of both Cassie and another victim who will testify under the pseudonym Jane and who also participated in such encounters during her relationship with Combs.

Ventura will return to court tomorrow to answer questions from the defense of Combs, who is charged with conspiracy to extort, sex trafficking and transportation for the purpose of pimping.
