Sant Antoni again allows unrestricted bathing at its two beaches affected by spills

The Sant Antoni City Council guarantees the safety for the use of the beaches for bathing beaches of s’Arenal and Caló des Moro and eliminates the restrictions in these two points of its coastline. Both had been closed due to the presence of fecal matter in the water.

The Consistory indicates in a press release that it took this decision after receiving the results of the water analysis carried out at both sites, which confirm that the indicators, especially of fecal matter, are found to be within optimal limits.

It should be recalled that a spill last week forced the closure of the central section of s’Arenal and another leak affected the rocky area of Caló des Moro, although it was not necessary to close the beach.

The Consistory “thanks the involvement of all municipal services” and highlights the work of the Department of Environment; the concessionaire of water management, Facsa, and the cleaning service UTE Portmany. “All worked in a coordinated manner to rehabilitate these areas,” says the Consistory.
