Ibiza has an endless number of corners to discover. Tourists and residents visit all year round its incredible beaches and also enjoy, among other things, the incredible sunsets, its culture and its gastronomy. Many times, to get to these points it is necessary to have a vehicle.
Next, four of the many routes that can be done to discover some locations of the island:
The south
The route through the south can begin in the Natural Park of ses Salines, specifically on the beach of es Cavallet, a very nice place to visit and enjoy the restaurants in the area. Then you can go to the park itself and walk to the Torre des Savinar, a beautiful enclave to contemplate the sea and, in the background, the coast of Formentera. The route by car will continue to Platja d’en Bossa, one of the best known bathing areas of Ibiza for being the largest. Its waters are very shallow, so it is a very safe beach to visit with children.
Finally, you have to head towards Cala d’Hortanother of the most beautiful beaches of Ibizafrom where you can enjoy the view of the famous islet of es Vedrà.
Indispensable in the north
The tour through the north of Ibiza begins with a visit to Sant Joan de Labritjaalso called ‘the white village’. Then head for Cala Xarraca, a small rocky cove that is one of the best places on the island to dive and see, if you are lucky, starfish. Nearby, in Portinatx, are the beaches of s’Arenal Petit and s’Arenal Gros, two ideal places for children to play in the sand, with crystal clear waters. To round off the day, you can spend the afternoon in Benirràs, one of the most iconic coves in Ibiza. Depending on the time of year, you can dress up for a unique sunset.
Located in the center of the island and accompanying this plan you can include the village of Santa Gertrudiswhere there is a good gastronomic offer. For example, the mythical bocadillo de embutido en embutido at the Costa bar.
The most familiar area
And if you are traveling with children, the area of Santa Eulària is ideal. The route will start at Cala Boix, a beach with dark sand. Then you can visit the beach of Cala Nova to finish the morning eating in the town of Santa Eulària itself, which has restaurants for all tastes and ice cream parlors.
Back to Ibiza town there is a must, the walled city of Dalt Viladeclared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. This visit can be completed with the historic and seafaring quarter of the city, where you can breathe the authentic spirit of the island.
And finally…
Finally, you have to move to the west of the island, where two of the most famous beaches are located: Cala Salada y Saladeta Covewhich are just a few minutes drive from each other. In the afternoon you can visit Cala Bassa and Cala Tarida, to finish the day in Cala Comte, from where you can contemplate the sunset if the time of the year allows it.
