These are the only reasons why Ryanair will reimburse you for an airline ticket

Recovering money for an airline ticket is not an easy task. Each company has its own return policy and there are more expensive fares that offer you at least the possibility to change the date.

In the case of the airline Ryanair, its ticket refund policy specifies that refunds will only be made on four circumstances. The first one is if the flight has been cancelled. In this case you are entitled to a refund, according to the Irish low cost airline’s website.

In this case you will receive a e-mail from Customer Service confirming the flight cancellation. This email will offer several options: request a refund; request an alternative transportation to your final destination; or change your flight free of charge for another flight on the same route.

To request a refund, click on the refund link in the email. The booking can also be accessed through the ‘My Bookings’ section on Ryanair.com.

Another reason why you can ask for your money back is that your flight has been delayed five hours. The reimbursement steps are the same as above.

The next circumstance is if the scheduled departure time has been delayed by at least five hours. And finally, the fourth reason is in the event of the death of a passenger on the reservation or death of a family member family member who is not traveling with the passenger.

Within 24 hours

If the booking has been made directly with the company on Ryanair.com and a refund has been requested due to a flight alteration and is eligible, the money will be returned to Ryanair’s wallet within 24 hours.

Everyone who books on Ryanair.com has a ‘myRyanair’ account. The Ryanair ‘wallet’ is in the ‘myRyanair’ account and is designed to make the refund process simpler, clearer and faster for all customers.
