Queen Letizia wears Ibizan ‘espardenyes’ on her vacations

It's not the first time the Queen has made a nod to Ibiza fashion.

The King and Queen of Spain and their daughters visited the Alfàbia Gardens and the house in Bunyola in Mallorca on Monday afternoon.

Felipe VI and Doña Letizia, accompanied by the princess Leonor and the Infanta Sofia have toured the farm owned by the zaforteza family and have admired the various elements of the listed building national artistic monument since 1954i n addition to Asset of Cultural Interest.

This is the don Felipe’s first public appearance with his wife and daughters who arrived on Saturday afternoon to spend their summer vacation at the Marivent palace, with the queen emeritus, Doña Sofia who has been on the island since the previous week.

The King landed on Wednesday and the next day he received the new political authorities of the Balearic Islands at the almudaina Palace and right after he embarked on a private sailboat with some friends to start enjoying the days off.

Ibizan espadrilles

For this first appearance, Queen Letizia has chosen some Ibizan espadrilles by Espardenyes Torres, the same she has worn in previous summers. Her daughters have also opted for esparto shoes, in her case, wedges.

It is not the first time that the Queen makes a nod to Ibizan fashion. It is worth remembering the spectacular Charo Ruiz dress that Doña Letizia wore last summer during the reception in Marivent. The model was sold out in a few hours on the website of the fashion designer Adlib.
