Three assailants attack a woman at Ibiza port, kidnap her in a car, and leave her in an open field

National Police officers arrested the three suspects for an alleged crime of threats, injuries and illegal detention

The National Police in Ibiza have arrested three people, two men, aged 46 and 41, and a woman aged 39all of Spanish origin, for assaulting a woman in the port of Ibiza, putting her inside a car and then abandoning her in an open area of the island, according to a press release.

The agents of the Specialized and Violent Crime Unit (UDEV) of the police station began an investigation on February 15, the afternoon of the same day the events took place, when they received a tip-off through 091 of a possible assault on a woman.

Complaint by the victim

The victim later went to report the three people who allegedly beat her up. According to the victim, she was accosted in the middle of the street a woman who attacked her from behind, knocking her to the ground and kicking and punching her in the face and then dragging her to a car with two men in it.

Once inside the vehicle, the arrested men took the complainant to a secluded area of the city where the woman continued to beat her, even using a sharp object against the victim.

After the aggression, the offenders left the woman at the place with polycontusions and several wounds on her leg. The agents are investigating the causes for which the woman assaulted the victim, detailed in the statement, in which they point to a possible “attack of jealousy”.

The UDEV of the National Police in Ibiza managed to detain the three suspects on February 20 as alleged perpetrators of the commission of several crimes of injury, threats and illegal detention.

The detainees were handed over to the Court de Instrucción de Guardia once all the pertinent formalities have been completed at the police station.
