Children of the 80’s Ibiza opening: date confirmed and guest band revealed

Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza opens this Friday, May 16, the new season of its iconic party Children of the 80’s, which will pay tribute to the dj José María Castellsone of the three members of the Dream Team Megamix, who passed away last winter due to cancer, according to the organization of the event.

The event will have a solidary character, since they will be present the Elena Torres Association for the Research for the Early Detection of Cancer and the Association Ibiza and Formentera Against Cancer (IFCC)with the aim of giving visibility to this disease and raise funds to support patients in the Pitiusas Islands.

Children of the 80’s will kick off this new season with a live performance of Los Secretos, in a concert in which they will perform from their most legendary songs to their most recent hits. In addition, attendees will also be able to enjoy the most iconic music of recent decades thanks to La Movida Ibiza, with the classics of the eighties that marked an entire generation.

Tribute

As a tribute to José María Castells, during this event a video in memory of the artist will be projected by djs Quique Tejada and Toni Peret, friends, colleagues and founders together with Castells of the mythical group Dream Team Megamix, and a commemorative plaque will be presented to the family of the renowned dj in honor of his outstanding professional career.

In addition to this emotional tribute, Tejada and Peret are promoting on social networks a campaign of collaboration with the two associations against cancer of the Pitiusas that will be present this Friday at the opening of the most emblematic party of Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza, which this year celebrates its tenth anniversary.

The entrance to this party is free for residents until 9 pm and, on this occasion, all attendees will have the opportunity to collaborate with a solidarity cause such as the fight against cancer.
