The roads of Ibiza will have from this Wednesday onwards with three new radars installed by the Dirección General de Tráfico (DGT). The Department of Road Infrastructures of the Consell de Ibiza has reported that the company Indra Sistemas S.A. is carrying out works for the installation of these new devices at different points of the roads EI-200, EI-700 and EI-800. The works being carried out this Wednesday involve occasional lane cuts.
Thus, a radar has already been installed on the eI-200 road ( Santa Eulària ), near the traffic circle of the Hunters in the direction of Santa Eulària, in the first two kilometers, as detailed from the Consell de Ibiza in a statement.
At noon, the works are being carried out in the EI-700 (Ibiza – Sant Josep ), between sa Carroca and the airport traffic circle.
Another of the radars will be installed this afternoon at the EI-800 (airport road), between points 5 420 and 5 850, in the final section of the airport road widening.
From the insular institution have pointed out that the work is expected to be completed before 19 hours. Also, they have emphasized that in case it is necessary to carry out some auction, this will be carried out this Thursday from 10 am, outside peak hours, to minimize the inconvenience to traffic.
