A 39-year-old man was injured this afternoon on Avinguda de Isidor Macabich in Vila after the awning of a business that had been ripped off by strong gusts of wind fell on him.
The incident took place at 16.55 hours in the central avenue, when the awning of an appliance store came off and hit the injured man’s head.

Upon arrival, the business owner found the man, who had lost consciousness, lying on the ground on his side. To the scene of the incident have been displaced two agents of the Local Police of Vila and 061 services with an advanced life support ambulance and four personnel, who examined the victim of the incident.
After checking his state of health and verifying that it was less serious than expected, a basic life support ambulance was sent to the point of the incident and transferred the man to the Hospital de Can Misses.
