The Ibiza Local Police and the Consell de Ibiza inspected during the morning of yesterday ten lodgings in the municipality that could be being rented out as tourist homes illegally.
The agents collaborated with the inspectors of the insular institution to find out if they carry out this type of activities. All this, in order to “minimize the problem of access to the housing in the city.”explained yesterday from the security corps.
The special unit was created last February to fight against intrusiveness in the housing area in Vila, where it is estimated that there are currently some thousand apartments destined to this type of irregular renting.
