This phenomenon, which now extends beyond the traditional summer season to times like New Year’s Eve, offers a variety of unique lodging experiences.

While some vehicles are well-equipped, others offer basic amenities like outdoor showers, with prices averaging around 150 euros per night. Additionally, boats moored in ports are becoming popular as overnight accommodations, with prices varying based on size and amenities. However, this trend raises legal and environmental concerns, particularly with illegal rentals in protected areas like the Ses Salines Natural Park and the additional fees for services like cleaning and airport shuttles. The case of Anasse Z., who repeatedly advertises illegal cabins in the Natural Park despite facing legal proceedings, highlights these issues.
