The yellow alert will be activated today and tomorrow in Ibiza and Formentera because of the extreme heat that will cause the third heat wave of this summer.
The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has forecast for the next few days temperatures of up to 39 degrees in the Pitiusas. In the case of Mallorca, the meteorological agency has activated the red alert, as in other provinces of Spain, such as Girona or Lleida.
As for the minimum temperatureswill be, during the course of today, of 22 degrees in Ibiza and 25 in Formenterareports the Aemet.
Because of this inordinate heat in most of Spain, the risk of fire will consequently be very high. Tonight, on the other hand, has been torrid both in Ibiza and Formentera. Temperatures have been 25 degrees in the small island of the Pitiusas and 22 in some parts of Ibiza, as in Sant Antoni or the area of es Codolar.
For this morning the meteorological agency had predicted extreme heat, so the yellow alert was activated from 11 am. In the case of tomorrow, this risk has been activated as of 13 hours and until 7 p.m in Ibiza and also in Formentera. With these temperatures, record data were recorded on the islands and in Spain in general.
