A 41-year-old Dutch tourist drowned on Wednesday while swimming near es Vedrà during a boat excursion with around 20 compatriots. According to the Guardia Civil, the man, who was disabled and suffered from epileptic seizures, went missing after reboarding was called and was later found floating face down about 20 metres from the vessel. Despite resuscitation efforts by the crew and subsequent confirmation by emergency services at Sant Antoni port, he was pronounced dead, with the coroner authorising removal of the body in the afternoon. The cause of death remains unconfirmed.
