It was his last session of the season in Ibiza and, in addition, his father’s 75th birthday. So Patrick Topping, resident dj at Hï Ibiza, decided to take his father to work. This is how he himself and the club itself explain it in their social networks, where they have shared a video in which the dj’s father can be seen having a great time in the booth with his son. The two men embrace and, while his son plays, he dances behind him, raising his arms and admiringly contemplating the sea of people that accumulates at his son’s feet, who looks at him from time to time while continuing to work.
“When music is a family thing”, comments the Platja d’en Bossa club under the images: “Name a better feeling than having your father with you at the closing party of your residency at Hï”. It is the dj himself, who in other of his publications explains how his life and his relationship with music has changed since he quit drinking, who answers the publication of the club explaining that, in addition, the closing of his sessions on the island coincided with his 75th anniversary.
Patrick Topping takes advantage of the publication to thank the island for “another incredible season”. “Ibiza gets better every year, I think,” he says in the carousel of images with which he says goodbye to the island and in which he includes the video with his father. In total, he explains, there have been 17 nights DJing at Hï, explains the young man, who explains that he will return to Ibiza in October, for one of the closings of Ushuaïa in which he plans a b2b with Green Velvet.
