The Guardia Civil has arrested a 56-year-old man as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health in the vicinity of a well-known beach club in Sant Antoni.
“Last week, agents of the Reserve and Security Group (ARS) patrolled along the promenade of the town and surprised an individual who was offering nitrous oxide to passers-by,” explains the Civil Guard in a press release. Upon noticing the police presence, the man fled on the run and threw a bottle of nitrous oxide in his hand. The agents indicate that “he was intercepted moments later and, in the search, it was found that he was carrying two other bottles and two plastic bags with 100 balloons each, material commonly used for the consumption of this substance”
