Caught in Ibiza with five drugs for trafficking

Agents of the National Police have arrested in Ibiza two men as alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health after being intercepted in a preventive control with five different types of drugs. In the search, the agents seized several narcotic substances, including cocaine, ecstasy, LSD, hashish and marijuana, as reported by the armed forces in a statement

The events occurred last Monday around 00.15 hours, during a surveillance device deployed in the street Felipe II. The intervention is part of Operation Summer and is part of the Safe Tourism Plan, which reinforces security in the areas of greatest tourist influx during the summer season.

The control involved troops from the Provincial Brigade of Citizen Security of Palma, displaced to the island to reinforce the local staff. During the patrol, the agents observed two men who, upon noticing their presence, adopted a nervous and elusive attitude.

After identifying them, a superficial search was carried out, which revealed several packages with substances that, due to their preparation and distribution, pointed to a trafficking destination. The two individuals were arrested and taken to the National Police Station in Ibiza, where the relevant proceedings were carried out. Subsequently, both were taken to court.
