The man was found dead in his room

A British tourist was found dead early this afternoon in his room in a hotel in Sant Antoni, according to the Peripheral Communications Office (OPC) of the Civil Guard of the Balearic Islands.

According to early hypotheses, man, 34 years old had suffered a drug overdose, although investigators are awaiting autopsy results to confirm this.

The deceased was on vacation on the island with friends and was staying at a hotel in the center of Sant Antoni. The Guardia Civil has taken charge of the investigation.

Other cases

This is very similar to another case that occurred in June, in which a man, in this case of Spanish nationality and born in 1977, was found dead from a drug overdose in another hotel in the center of Sant Antoni.

Another similar case in Sant Antoni occurred already in July when a man who had consumed large quantities of hallucinogens jumped from a balcony, reported the communication service of the Guardia Civil. The deceased was a tourist of 35 years of age and British nationality. The 061 health emergency service received a call at 3.19 am, and the medical staff confirmed the death of the man on arrival.
