The best plans for the weekend in Ibiza and Formentera

If the celebration of the Day of the Balearic Islands starred last weekend’s agenda, in this one it is practically the celebration of the Women’s Day, 8Mbut also the days before and after.

During these days there are conferences, concerts, storytellers, exhibitions and tributes dedicated to women 8M demonstrationwhich this year goes from Paseo de Vara de Rey to the Plaza de Antoni Albert i Nieto de Vila, where the manifesto will be read. In Formentera there will be, among other acts, a concentration before the reading.

It also highlights the theater, with ‘The House of Bernarda Alba’ friday, Saturday and Sunday at Can Ventosa; two parties with dj’s: ‘Música amb nom de dona’ (Music with a woman’s name) on Friday in Formentera and on Dona Festivalsaturday in Vila; dance ‘The humans of the waves’on Saturday in Formentera and on Sunday in Sant Josep; a choral exchange on Saturday in Santa Eulària… and also sport and movement: on Sunday it’s the Cursa per la Donaco-organized by Sant Josep and Vila in Platja d’en Bossa, and a walk for women in Sant Antoni. The program is extensive and deserves a close look.

Thursday, as always, is the day of the conferenceswith one on the role of women in the music industry at the Dipef sessions, another on high sansibilities, a third on positive parenting and the last one on cancer and women.

On Friday and Saturday there is room for tradition, with the Popular Culture Dayswhich include the traditional music show ‘Illes per la cançó’.

On Saturday also comes the musical ‘Magic D-Rock’which mixes rock and magic for the whole family in the Recinto Ferial and a charity match between poiliticiansin solidarity with Fundación Conciencia in Can Cantó.

And to top it all off in a good mood, on Sunday there is a new Fun&Truckswith music and food in Jesus.
