The Day of the Balearic Islands extends this year’s program of events throughout the weekend, although the most popular will focus on Friday, March 1, on the Paseo de Vara de Rey de Vila, with craft shows, parade of carts, ball pagès or exhibition of Menorcan dressage.
Although if it comes to popularity, the palm is taken by the Fira des Gerretwhich will fill the streets of Santa Eulària on Saturday with the best recipes for this tasty fish for all budgets.
Among the cultural activities highlights the play ‘On the way to the zoo’with which the actor Fernando Tejero returns this Saturday to the stages of Ibiza. Also ‘Dones de la sal’ (Salt Gifts)on the same day at the municipal cinema of Formentera.
And a lot of cinema, where we must point out in the agenda the independent film festival Ibizacinefest which closes on Sunday, but has screenings all weekend.
And as for music, there is zarzuela this Thursday at Can Ventosa and a very special concert dedicated to love, ‘Served with love’ with pieces from different periods played with piao and cello, on Sunday on the same stage.
