Here are the best plans for the weekend on Ibiza and Formentera

This weekend celebrates Sant Josep's Day festivities, theatre with 'La coartada' at Can Ventosa and the end of Ibizacinefest

Sant Josep celebrates its patron saint’s festival this Saturday, where, in addition to the more traditional events, Friday evening is a must for party-goers with the Correbars, snacks and drinks in the bars at great prices and street concerts by The Metrallas, Chino Swingslide, Bluesmàfia, 3 Wise Monkeys and Uncle Sal. Concerts and activities are also scheduled throughout the weekend.

On Saturday, Can Ventosa is hosting one of the most eagerly awaited plays of the 2022 theatre season, ‘La coartada‘ (The Alibi), with a luxury cast headed by María Castro, Gorka Otxoa and Miquel Hermoso.

The Ibizacinefest, Ibiza’s international independent film festival, also continues with activities in various locations, but above all at its HQ, which this year is the Caló de s’Oli auditorium in Cala de Bou.

And there is lots and lots of music this weekend. Highlights include the ‘Sax&Love’ concerts on Thursday and the Norberto Rodríguez Quartet on Friday, as part of the ‘Dies Musicals‘ programme. Or the soloist concert by the Banda Ciutat d’Eivissa (City of Ibiza Band) on Saturday in the Cas Serres auditorium.
