Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week, and this weekend the islands of Ibiza and Formentera are filled with tradition, music, culture and leisure activities. Masses, processions, and blessings will be held in parishes across the islands, including one of the most emblematic events of the weekend — the traditional “Borriquita” procession in Vila, a reenactment of Jesus’ arrival in Jerusalem.
Alongside religious observances, the weekend offers a wide variety of concerts, theatre performances, markets, book presentations and gastronomy events.
