The Aemet warns of a change of weather for Tuesday in Ibiza and Formentera

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated the yellow alert for strong gusts of wind and coastal phenomena in Ibiza and Formentera. The Aemet foresees maximum gusts of up to 70 kilometers per hour east wind. It also forecasts rough seas with east wind of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour of force 7 and waves of three meters high.

The alert will be activated this Tuesday at 3 p.m. and will remain in effect until midnight. The risk for coastal phenomena will be deactivated at six o’clock in the morning on Wednesday. The wind will blow from the east and there will be waves up to three meters high.

The minimum temperatures rise this Tuesday to 20 degrees to fall back to 14 and 15 degrees the rest of the week. The highs will remain between 22 degrees this Tuesday and 25 degrees this Wednesday.

The following may occur this Tuesday light precipitation that could be accompanied by mud.

Rainfall

There will be alternating clear and cloudy skies for the rest of the week. Rain is forecast to return on Friday, with a 75% chance, as well as Saturday (100%) and Sunday (80%).

The DANA left last weekend very heavy rainfall accompanied by storms, especially in Mallorca. In Formentera up to 9 liters were recorded on Sunday.
