The oil, spirits and wines lead the list of the most stolen products in Balearic supermarkets, according to ehe 4th industry theft study conducted by STC (The Source Tagging Company), a leader in anti-theft protection for the nation’s leading food retailers.
The report, based on data collected throughout 2024 from more than 10,500 supermarkets national and regionalalso points out that the iberian sausages, coffee, shaving products and canned tuna and tuna tuna complete the ranking of most stolen items.
The most stolen products in the Balearic Islands
1.Oil
One of the most striking data from the study is the rise of olive oil as the most pilfered product in Spain. Barely present in the 2023 list, its appearance last year in the second place last year anticipated a trend that in 2024 has consolidated it as leader in most of the autonomous communities.
2.Liqueurs
