During the inspection, they found 2,500 kilos of hashish inside the refrigerated box, hidden among the rest of the merchandise the driver, a 54 year old man, was arrested.

Other operations

This type of inspections are part of the special control of goods on the ferries, carried out on many occasions between the three corps, to prevent all types of illegal activities and ensure public safety.

Agents intercepted 675 kilograms of cocaine hidden in a truck on July 9 at the port of Valencia when it had just disembarked from a ferry coming from Ibiza. This action, part of the same Operation Summer, was made possible thanks to the fact that one of the canine guides marked the truck in which the cocaine stash was found. The driver of the vehicle, a 53-year-old man, was also arrested.
