The Consell encourages the population to prepare their costumes for Carnival after two years of pandemic

The Consell de Formentera, through the Department of Culture and Festivals, has informed that on Sunday, February 19th, Carnival returns to Formentera, after a two year hiatus due to the pandemic. Therefore, the insular institution points out that it wants to “encourage the population to prepare their costumes,” as reported in a press release.

At this year’s Carnival the following prizes will be awarded:

Adult individual: 200 euros first prize and 150 euros second prize

Children’s individual: 100 euros first prize and 60 euros second prize

Couples: 300 euros first prize and 200 euros second prize
