A private individual has built two wooden houses on a slope of es Corb Marí, in the Natural Park of ses Salines, and is carrying out the construction of another structure in an unbuildable area. It so happens that these buildings are located on the same land where the owner is renting a mansion for tourism without the required licence, as confirmed yesterday by the Consell de Ibiza.
The site where these infringements have been carried out, which is hidden from the street by a wall about two metres high, is located at number 21 of camí de les Oliveres in es Corb Marí, next to the intersection of the road to es Cavallet and the road to ses Salines beach. Although the entire massif of es Corb Marí is part of the area protected as a Natural Park, a portion of this land is still on urban land, which includes part of the chalet that is rented out on a nightly basis. However, the activity is being carried out illegally because the house is not registered in the registry of tourist stays of the Consell.
The two wooden huts have been built on the part of the site that is now outside the land catalogued as urban, as can be seen on the Urbanistic Map of the Balearic Islands (MUIB). In the aerial orthophotography of the area, composed of images taken between 2018 and 2019, it can be seen that at that time only one of the two wooden houses had been built in an unbuildable area.
